9,000 Confessions!

Imagine this folks. Some local Catholic priests come to town and start preaching. 9,000 confessions heard. New converts to the Catholic Faith. People showing up at 5:00am to learn more about the Catholic Faith. Drunks making abstinence pledges and asking our Immaculate Lady to help them in their resolutions. Families healed.

Could this happen? It did. McNamara blog has an interesting headline about a Brooklyn Mission in 1891. Let us pray that such fervor might be stirred in our own day. Let us pray the Holy Rosary and offer our Holy Communion intentions for holy priests.

This blog, Canterbury Tales, is solemnly consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

“Et tuam ipsius animam pertransibit gladius
ut revelentur ex multis cordibus cogitationes.”
(Luke 2:35, Vulgate)
Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.
